Company Description
The IKEA vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people – our customers, co-workers and suppliers. By 2030, we are committed to become climate positive by reducing more greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) than the IKEA value chain emits, while growing the IKEA business and without using carbon offsets. We have big responsibility – and opportunity – to make a difference and contribute towards limiting global warming to 1.5°C by positively impacting people, planet and society through our size and full value chain approach.
At IKEA we rely heavily on analytics in how we lead our climate agenda, where climate reporting is turned into concrete improvement actions for the many across the business. This is also used to set strategic goals and road maps with clear actions and projects, which are anchored across business.
In IKEA Wood Supply and Forestry (WS&F) we work every day to enable IKEA to influence responsible forest management and wood use practices in the world. We secure accessibility of wood from responsibly managed forests through optimised supply chains and a positive impact on the world’s forests beyond our own needs. As IKEA is moving to only using renewable and recyclable materials, we work increasingly together with our colleagues and partners also to secure responsible sourcing of other renewable materials, e.g. coming from the agricultural sector.
We’re on the lookout for passionate doers, idea makers, and creative thinkers. Right now, we are looking for analysts to focus on integration of our land use footprint of forestry and agriculture into our climate performance framework. We currently have 1-year temporary assignments for Project support positions within Climate impact of agriculture, forestry and other land use located at IKEA of Sweden, Älmhult, with a start date as soon as possible.
