Job Profile
Synopsis on Nordisk Hjalp and its New Mandate
Nordisk Hjalp is a Swedish-registered top tier 90-Konto NGO covering the entirety of Sweden
and carrying out a multi-country operation over the last 10+ years with programs focusing on
relief and development acti, covering mainly women and child care. Nordisk Hjalp’s Board of
Directors has recently approved a strategy shift for the entire organization that entails a new
mandate with focus on facilitating the harmonization of Middle East refugees and immigrants
into their new environments.
Nordisk Hjalp is seeking to recruit a new Programs Manager who is passionate about the new
mission, and can shoulder the responsibilities of launching the key programs successfully. Key
programs encapsulate economic, cultural, social and psychological integration, offered to the
target segment through a range of new knowledge, skills and tools. Programs are planned to
grow on two fronts; locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
● Programs Management: establishment of key integration programs including program
design and implementation, within Sweden and internationally.
● Monitoring and Evaluation: assessment of success of key programs based on
scientific, pre-defined KPIs and Result Outcomes.
● Interface with Fundraising & Major Donors: active participation in building the
fundraising strategy and support with key documentation and funder meetings.
● Support of Communication Activities and Events: including support to all activities on
the strategic communication plan.
● Support of Organizational Development Plan: Nordisk Hjalp is undergoing a
well-articulated plan to further establish its institutional infrastructure. Support to this plan
is required whenever applicable.
● Support of Existing Program (core): a key program with 1000+ beneficiaries is
sustained by NH, and it’s required for this role to support it (maintenance mode) until it’s
phased out according to a set plan.

Key Experiences
● 5+ years of experience in an international NGO
● In a similar or relevant position to the core responsibilities
● Or 8+ years of experience in a local (Swedish) NGO
● With demonstrated capability to perform the core responsibilities within this job profile
Expected Output within the next 2 years
● Design and Launch of 2 National Programs (TBD)
● Design and launch of 2 International Programs (TBD)
Languages
● Swedish (must)
● English (preferred)
● Arabic (preferred)
Place of Work and Expected Travel
This position is typically centered in Malmo, Sweden. However, and in order to offer further
flexibility and widen the scope of the addressable talent pool, it’s been decided that the first 3-6
months can be started within Sweden elsewhere, given that at least one weekly travel to Malmo
would be needed within that period.
