Are you a recent graduate with an engineering degree and an international ambition? Join Outokumpu and become a part of our Graduate program! We are now looking for a project engineer focused on mechanical construction for our site in Degerfors.

About the position
You are offered an attractive role located in Degerfors with great freedom and global contact points. As our production has many different machines and processes, the role involves multiple types of projects and growth opportunities.
As a project engineer, you mainly work with project management aimed to improve our machine park, which offers a great variety in both complexity & age of our equipment. You are handling projects with investments and conversions of machines, from specification to commissioning. This includes collecting data from within our maintenance department to create specifications, budget, time plan, purchasing, acceptance work, and monitoring of the project during the assembly phase and follow-up.
The role also involves some mechanical construction, where you are responsible for documenting, making calculations, and constructing technical solutions. Together with your closest colleague in construction, you will review your drawings according to Outokumpu’s regulations.
Additionally, you will participate in a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training and become responsible for improvement projects. You will also get an opportunity to share your knowledge in Outokumpu’s international graduate development program called Form your Future.
What we are looking for
To qualify for this role, you will need:
Recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
Maximum 2 years of relevant work experience – preferably in construction
Previous experience in project management is meritorious
Good knowledge of CAD and MS Project is highly valued
Analytically inclined and well structured
Strong interest to develop yourself cross-functionally, internationally, and with a willingness to travel
High career aspirations with a hands-on attitude and enjoy taking own responsibility
Eagerness to learn and develop, and to work in fields new to you
Fluency in Swedish and English (written & spoken). Mastering any of the following company languages is a plus: German, Finnish, Spanish
