Nordex Sweden is now looking for a Project Manager to join our team at the headquaters in Uppsala.
We at Nordex Nordics are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team of 15 project management professionals based in Helsinki and Uppsala. In this team you will find support for you in your role from people working with for example logistics, tendering, commercial and administrative topics and our experienced Site Managers.
As a Project Manager your main responsibility is to manage and control the project assigned to you in terms of time, cost and quality from the point of handover from Sales up until handover to the client and Nordex Service organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
Support the Sales organization in the final stages of tender processes and facilitate a smooth handover from Sales to Project Management
Responsibility to execute comprehensive projects on-time, within budget and to good quality
Manage and monitor all aspects of environment, health and safety in your assigned projects
Being the first contact for all parties involved in the project such as client, subcontractors, suppliers and any other internal or external party
Representing Nordex to our clients – creating a good relationship with the client and delivering customer satisfaction
Running negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers as well as contract management of both
Manage personnel and provide strong control of subcontractors and key suppliers including but not limited to erection and transportation companies throughout the project execution phase
Securing correct project handling and creating a successful cross departmental and often multicultural team
Define and initiate appropriate corrective actions for problems encountered during the execution of the project (related to cost, time and/or quality)
Creating necessary transparency with regards to optimization of cost-effectiveness in cooperation with Commercial Project Management.
Work within Nordex processes to manage and report progress on project with a monthly status report
Manage and report KPIs
Facilitate a smooth handover to colleagues in Service, at the same time as handover to the client
To work successfully as a PM at Nordex you would need to meet the following requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as Project Manager in operative project execution and construction management for complex technical projects either in civil construction, manufacturing and plant engineering industry. Experience from the wind energy sector or in general energy sectors is considered an advantage
Experience in project management including full responsibility for multi-million EUR contracts with strong commercial and financial acumen
Technical background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or similar discipline
HSE awareness that shows in your daily approach to your role
Excellent English language skills that allow you to communicate effectively in both writing and in meetings / calls. Good command of Swedish is a benefit
Excellent computer skills are required, especially MS Office and MS Project
Leadership skills and good team forming skills and ability to create a strong, successful and enjoyable team spirit
Negotiation and communication skills that allow you to handle even tough discussions effectively and professionally
Very good organizational skills to be able to manage many topic running concurrently
High level of commitment and dedication to deliver high quality
Ability to work with different business cultures – mainly Sweden, Northern Europe and Germany
