Arbetsbeskrivning

Propulsion system diagnostics engineer

Volvo Group’s mission is to drive prosperity through transport solutions. Our customers bring goods and people to every corner of the world. But with increasing transportation comes the need to minimize the environmental impact through high-tech innovations.

This is us, your new colleagues:

Our task is to develop an automatic diagnostic system that shall determine the condition of the component in the system that is diagnosed. Together with colleagues in other groups in our organization we decide what action to take based on the information about the condition.
A modern propulsion system is advanced regardless what technology it is based on. Volvo’s approach to decarbonize the transport sector is to develop three variants of propulsion systems each tailor made for its application, Combustion engine running on renewable fuel, Battery electric vehicle or hydrogen fuel cell. Regardless of the technology, each of these needs a good diagnostic system to secure that the system run optimally to minimize adverse impact on the environment and keep good economy for the customer.
Our group is organized within the Exhaust After Treatment System (EATS) organization. Our main task is to develop diagnostic system for the EATS, however with the expansion of development of battery electric vehicle or hydrogen fuel cell, our group will embrace these technologies as well to secure that all of Volvo’s products have world class diagnostics system.
