Role Description

The Prototype Assembly Engineer holds a key role at the Prototype department within KOP Engineering, and reports directly to the Prototype Manager. The Prototype Assembly Engineer manages and prepares all prototype assembly work at the department. The role demands pro-active thinking to prepare prototypes for operation, to keep track of spare parts requirements, and to track delivery precision. The Prototype Assembly Engineer also needs to plan ahead, for example concerning the need for new tooling to secure robust production techniques. To further develop the department, the Prototype Assembly Engineer also participates in strategic work regarding continuous improvement and implementation of strategic roadmap activities.

The role of Prototype Assembly Engineer gives a solid and in-depth understanding of the product portfolio of GKN Driveline, which is of great value for further career development within the company.


Qualifications / Experience / Skills

- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
- Robust skills in Catia v5 or similar
- Experience and know-how from project team work
- Task oriented and self-motivated working style
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Good social skills with the ability to create effective networks
