Prototyping Technician (Mechanical)

At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.

We are looking for a Prototyping Technician with mechanical background to join our Advanced Design and Prototyping Team in Gothenburg. Do you have experience with prototyping activities and want to contribute to a more sustainable future?

Your mission

You will be working in a small and very multidisciplinary team involved in a broad range of prototyping activities. You will be working on the front line of rapid prototyping to build mock-ups on electrical planes.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Work as part of a team to build mockups, proof of concepts, test rigs and other sorts of prototypes
- Work with CNC and conventional machines for the produce prototype parts
- Assist in the management and development of the hangar facilities
- Help maintaining an appropriate inventory of tools and equipment to support prototyping activities
- Perform inspection, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment
- Oversee and maintain the goods-in receiving area and supervise local logistics
- Ensure safe working practices

Additionally, you enjoy taking on difficult challenges and finding innovative solutions, you readily adapt to change, and you are motivated and driven to continually learn and improve.

You will join a team currently consisting of 10 people from several different parts of the world. Your place of work will be in our hangars, located in Säve, Gothenburg.

- Minimum 1 year of experience with similar tasks and responsibilities
- Metal working (Lathe, CNC & Manual Machining, Welding, Panel beating) is a merit
- Wood working (General construction)
- Strong organizational skills
- Completed Health and Safety training (BAM training or similar) is beneficial
- Experience with Composites is a benefit
- Fork-lift truck license is beneficial
- Knowledge of local area and suppliers is an advantage
- 3D Printing is a benefit
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry
