GKN are looking for test engineers to join our successful journey!


For the last years the Product development (PD) department at GKN Driveline in Köping has been growing by the award of new businesses, and a general long term growth and expansion ambition. The site has also become more global by the integration with GKN Global Engineering in order to leverage on global capabilities and competences. By this foundation a solid base has been established to further drive the development of the next generations of AWD systems in Köping.

The Product development is divided into 7 departments where in total 85 persons is working. One of these departments is Test where we are now looking for a Test engineer to join us!

Role Description
The Test engineer is responsible for the execution of tests at the department. A Test engineer is active in the definition of the test criteria, preparation of work orders for the department’s technicians, closely following up the progress of the running test, and finalizing the test in written reports. The role also calls for physical part analysis of tested units, as-well as working with warranty claims. The test engineer also needs to take an active role in development of rig functionality and test methods in order to develop the department’s capabilities. In general a Test engineer at the Test department needs to have an “engineering drive” in the sense of the interest in, e.g., topics as materials, technical challenges and controlling equipment.

Experience & skills
- At least 3 years of experience and skills from automotive, related production or testing
- Experience from project team work
- Task oriented and self-motivated working style
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Good social skills with the ability to create effective networks

Formal qualifications required
Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material science or related field of study
