HVDC is a business unit within the Power Grids division. ABB's HVDC unit (High Voltage Direct Current), with headquarters in Ludvika – develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
The Global Supply Chain Management organization at ABB Power Grids HVDC is strengthening its ability to perform professionally and add competitive value services within purchasing and logistics. The Global SCM organization is responsible for an annual purchase of over 800 MUSD, delivers value and service to HVDC’s large infrastructure projects around the world.

Your responsibilities
As Project SCM Specialist you will be the focal point between HVDC and our suppliers during the execution phase of our projects.
You will work close with Project SCM Managers, Logistic Planners, Suppliers, Engineers and Documentation control to follow up and secure that the equipment deliveries from our Suppliers is according to agreed time, cost and quality.
You will form a team together with other Project SCM Specialist and take on an equipment or project responsibility.
During the project execution you need to ensure relentless execution with proactive planning and follow-up all equipment delivers with our suppliers and internal stakeholders.
During project execution you will also drive, attend or provide information to kick-off and clarification meetings with suppliers.
You will work closely with the Project SCM Manager to solve upcoming quality constraints or deficiencies with the supplier equipment deliveries.

Your background
You are familiar to work in close interaction with suppliers and have 2+ years of experience in purchasing and supply chain.
You also like to set challenging goals and see them be realized.
On a personal level, you are a reliable team player with an independent and result oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills.
You are good at building networks internally as well as externally and like to negotiate.
You consider yourself to be an energetic, motivated and self-confident person who can handle both ups and downs and manage any problem that may occur.
You are also genuinely interested in technical components and systems and believe in cross-functional team success by contributing to best design and component selection.
You have a mindset to learn and develop yourself.
You are fluent in English and Swedish.
