Läkare Utan Gränser / MSF Sweden is looking for a Psychosocial Focal Point (PSFP)
Each year, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) sends approximately 3.000 international fieldworkers to go on more than 7.000 humanitarian missions to more than 70 countries worldwide, where they work alongside more than 32.000 national staff. Läkare Utan Gränser / MSF Sweden deploys around 120 fieldworkers per year.
As the Psychohosocial Focal Point, a member of the Human Resource department, you will ensure quality staff care and stress management for the fieldworkers deployed by MSF Sweden before and after field missions.
You will work in a network of Psychosocial Focal Points, that are based in the whole MSF movement – currently: Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Geneva, Johannesburg, London, Oslo, Paris, Rio, Rome, Toronto, etc.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
For the departing fieldworkers (before start of the mission)
• Perform Briefings
For the returning fieldworkers (at end of mission)
• Perform Return talks – for all returning fieldworkers
• Selection of (and networking with) back-up resources for Return talks
• Selection, creation and maintenance of a therapist network
• Referral of field workers to therapist network
• Quality management of referred (this includes checking on therapist satisfaction/well-being of those referred)
Other overall tasks:
• Basic data gathering (number of briefings and return talks, referrals, activities, etc.)
• Documentation of the Return talks – in a strictly professional manner (“medical journal”, only accessible to technical referent, and fieldworker)
• Conduct periodic (quarterly) reports of trends
• Provide stress management module trainings in PPD (First Departure trainings) and similar trainings upon request from the office
• Attend Psychosocial Network meeting (yearly, twice-a-year).
• Participate in reviewing, re-writing and follow-up of the annual psychosocial working environment survey together with other members of the HR department
• Participate in and support in other HR processes in the department when needed

OUR RECUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
• Strong commitment to MSF and humanitarian principles
• Master’s degree in Psychology
• 5 years’ experience as a licensed psychologist
• Good knowledge of the different therapeutic schools
• Must inspire confidence from the outset as his/her intervention will most often be confined in a single session
• Be able to work under pressure
• Fluency in Spoken and Written Swedish and English
VALUABLE
• Experience from MSF field work (or similar) is an asset.
• Other NGO experience
• Knowledge of Finnish or French are of added value.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Type of employment: Permanent position with six months’ probation period
• Employment rate: 50 %
• Work hours: 18.75 h/week (half time)
• Salary: 17.968 SEK /month
