We are seeking a Public Affairs and Communication Manager. We offer you a position where you will be responsible for enhancing the promotion and positive recognition of the Huawei brand.  You will maintain and develop a favorable business environment for the company in Sweden. In this role, you will report to the managing director of Huawei Sweden. The candidate will be expected to perform all aspects of public relations including creating & executing the strategy for communication with external stakeholders. The stakeholders include government, associations and media. Further, the candidate will also take responsibilities for CSR activities and crisis management. We are at the moment 300 employees and growing fast. Your location will be in Kista, Stockholm.

  Job description and responsibilities:

As Public Affairs and Communication Manager you will have the following main responsibilities and tasks:

Identify, develop and maintain positive and productive relations with the related stakeholders including government bodies/agencies, opinion leaders, organizations, key media and the public at large. The aim is to set up and maintain good business environment in order to support the long-term business development and promoting business opportunities in the country. Develop communications strategies to deal with various audiences. The skills, creativity and expertise needed will be to provide strategic thinking, planning and solutions. Demonstrate strong communications skills--both written and verbal. The candidate should be great at conducting research, preparing for media questions and interviews, providing "talking points" for executives to deliver and vigilant about fact-checking data and sources. Provide succinct answers to questions posed by the media respond to government inquiries and address associations and members of the targeted organizations. Tasks will range from writing press releases and addressing media inquiries, to developing external official papers. It will be required to appear and speak in public on behalf of the company. Plan, organize and execute ranges of PR activities including high level meetings, press meetings, company visit, and other events with the aim to promote company awareness and branding. Support internal departments with branding, and other media related activities. The position is also relied upon to develop strategies and responses to any crisis situation that could adversely impact the company.
  Requirements:

Bachelor degree or above in communication and media studies and/or business management, marketing or politics 5+ years work experience in government agencies, industry associations or on public relations position ICT industries. Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills Ability to build and maintain relationships and present a personable and charismatic approach at all levels within a business and social environment Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask Good teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills Business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs Able to quickly adapt to changing business needs, both internally and externally Very focused and driven individual, able to carry responsibility and develop solutions Excellent collaboration skills with a wide variety of people (other departments). Speak and write fluently in English and Swedish Microsoft office skills
