We are looking for someone that is passionate about public affairs, communication and leading and developing people. We believe that you are a seasoned and experienced business and people leader, accustomed to leading in change. You feel comfortable in a business, political, policy and/or NGO environment and we expect that you will have at least 10 years of senior level team leadership experience in communication, public affairs and/or corporate affairs. You will also have extensive experience in working with strategic business planning and working with senior business leaders, as well as a well-established external network.
• Significant knowledge and experience of leading, developing, coaching and motivating senior teams and other leaders in a multi-cultural, complex, constantly changing and inter-dependent environment.
• Significant knowledge and track record of using insights to formulate business strategy and create business impact.
• Significant knowledge of how to lead strategic advocacy, communication and stakeholder engagement by defining, planning, executing and follow-up to relevant stakeholders (such as governments, policy makers, NGOs and UN organisations).
• Knowledge of key global and local political institutions and regulatory and non-regulatory processes, including how to influence the policy agenda.
• Significant and up-to-date knowledge of global policy trends and developments relevant to Ingka Group and IKEA Retail.
• Knowledge of IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people, to ensure right representation.
• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position you will play a critical role in the Public Affairs and Advocacy team for Ingka Group, the largest franchisee to operate stores under the IKEA Brand. Key assignments in this role will be:
• Lead, coach and develop a team of experienced PA Leaders and Advisors in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Play a critical and pivotal role in the global Public Affairs agenda for Ingka Group (including IKEA Retail).
• Lead team to proactively contribute to strategy & planning discussions to ensure public affairs plan and direction is aligned with business priorities and that business strategy reflects the changing policy agenda. Practice inter-dependent leadership to secure the right results.
• Lead team to help to create a positive policy and regulatory environment for a transforming and growing sustainable and people-oriented business and to develop specific strategies and ways of working for influencing policy and regulation, impacting Ingka Group (including IKEA Retail).
• Strong collaboration with other team members including the EU Affairs team in Brussels.
• Lead good collaboration with the Campaign Unit to contribute to the development and execution of global 360-degree societal impact campaigns on relevant advocacy topics.
• Support and develop PA spokespeople across Ingka Group on appropriate PA topics.
• Represent Ingka Group in appropriate external and internal forums, so that key stakeholders know what we stand for.
• Lead work across functions within Ingka Group and in good collaboration with other IKEA businesses.
