Publications Manager, Temporary Replacement

Qualifications and Required Skills Education University degree in publishing, languages, communications or a related subject with English as a principal language. Professional Experience Minimum of 3 years professional experience in publication production processes and editorial systems, preferably in the Development field Functional Competencies Good understanding of the technical aspects of producing and printing publications, as well as good knowledge of publishing software. Excellent project management and co-ordination skills. Ability to set and meet stringent deadlines Experience in developing and implementing publishing and dissemination strategies Deep understanding of copyright and intellectual property laws and principles Effective analytical and problem solving skills. Proven ability to execute ideas as well as transfer knowledge and skills Strong interest in the practical and theoretical aspects of democracy and its role in development, human security and international relations Experience in working in an international and\or intergovernmental organization. Excellent people management skills Good knowledge of web management systems. Languages Excellent communication (written and spoken) in English Knowledge of Spanish, French, Arabic an asset Computer skills Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Good knowledge of layout programmes and tools used in the publishing industry.
