Purchase Development Logistics Manager (Matrix Manager for Category Area Logistics Managers)

We are now looking for a person that has a genuine interest in Purchasing and Logistics with a desire to improve our value chain and inspire and develop people!

As Purchase Development Logistics Manager, you will (together with the Category Area Logistics Managers) lead the matrix to develop the value chain and to inspire and develop people. You will define ways of working for the categories, inspire and empower teams and co-workers to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their assignments. Securing long term capacity planning for the categories will also be one of your responsibilities.

Assignment:
-Act as Matrix Leader for Category Area Logistics Managers
-In close cooperation with the Category Areas contribute to optimising the total value chain to secure availability at lowest total cost
-Facilitate close cooperation between Category Area Logistics Managers, Purchase Operations and Supply functions in IKEA of Sweden
-Lead the competence development of the Category Area Logistics Managers and the Supply Planners in Purchasing operations
-Contribute to continuously develop the One Supplier Capacity Process and lead the work to implement and establish the process in all Category Areas (operational and tactical)
-Contribute to Supplier Development from a Logistics perspective
-Contribute to Purchase Development and identify and act upon cross-category area synergies and opportunities
-Active member of the Logistics matrix within Purchasing, contributing to IKEA Purchasing and Global IKEA Logistics development
-Responsible for recruitment, development, performance management, retention and succession plans for co-workers directly in your team
-Act as an ambassador of IKEA values and Role Model for Fact-bases business leadership

You are an experienced Leader with the passion for business and people. You have solid logistics knowledge acquired by working in logistics roles in a global organisation. You have experience in combining working on a strategic level while acting on a tactical/operational level. You have also experience when it comes to reaching common goals through cooperation in a Matrix environment as well as experience in working with Supplier Development/Business Development.

As a person you have the ability to lead business with a holistic view and always act with customer, supplier, total IKEA and total cost development in mind. You have the capability to build trust and relationships, in order to build long-term business partnership. You have the capability to lead, develop and inspire people - act as coach and mentor.
