About the role
Parts Supply & Logistics at our customer is responsible for accessories and spare parts availability for global markets. The responsibility includes the entire material flow from supplier to customer. The business is built around central warehouses in Gothenburg, USA, China, as well as additional support warehouses around the world. The Purchasing Planning group is part of the forecasting and planning group within Parts Supply & Logistics. Currently, they are about 40 employees, organized into four teams and they are currently looking for a purchasing planner who can join one of these teams!
Main tasks
As a purchasing planner, you will play an important part of an agile team, whose main responsibility is to optimize the availability, delivery precision and inventory value of parts. In this role, you will act as the official contact person between Parts Supply & Logistics and suppliers/stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be responsible for both supplier development and improvement of internal processes.
About you
Compendium and experience are important, but personality and potential are key to this role. Our customer is looking for a service-oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish. The duties include analysis of data, therefore an interest and experience in this area will be an important part of succeeding in this role. It is also important to have good interpersonal skills and social skills, in order to build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Qualifications
• M.Sc. in technology, or business or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing planning is a merit
• Experience in logistics and leading projects
• Knowledge and experience in LEAN Manufacturing is a merit
• Driving licence
