We have an exciting opening for Purchaser role within our Nordic Wood Products Sourcing team. If you are searching for an opportunity offering a regional strategic approach within a company with ambitious sustainability goals – this well might be your next venture.
This position reports to the Nordic Purchasing Manager and you, as the ideal candidate, will be working towards our two sawmills in Sweden – Ala and Gruvön locations. Remote work is to be discussed but you need to be able to travel to the sites on a regular basis.
Stora Enos’s Sourcing and Logistics organization leads the sourcing and logistics activities for divisions and group functions in cooperation with requesters and suppliers. About the position
The focus area for the Purchaser is to lead various purchases including large scale purchase of materials, services, and investments.
You will partner with the business stakeholders to contract the right partners from Total Cost of Ownership perspective on regional service contracts and one-off investment purchases.
Your tasks include to support the daily business, reduce procurement spend and lower the OWC. You will have the opportunity contribute both tactically and stragically to negotiations and tendering on regional level, which gives an additional edge to this role. You will also be able to influence and facilitate the development of our sourcing function towards best practices.
Main responsibilities include:
• Developing regional sourcing plans
• Planning and running negotiations and tenders within given framework and guidelines
• Handling Contract Management and ensuring contract usage and development according to needs
• Resolving potential claims, taking corrective actions as needed
• Maintaining a large base of vendors and contacts within the industry
You act as a liaising partner between Sourcing and other departments and attend meetings with vendors.

Skills and qualifications needed in the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area
• Over three years’ experience within the field of Purchasing
• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions and the ability to utilize contractual techniques to minimize risk and maximize commercial opportunities with suppliers
• Fluent Swedish and English in business context
• Finnish knowledge is considered an additional advantage
• Good communication and influencing skills as well as ability to negotiate and maintain good relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
