We are on a transformation journey, simplifying and automating our stores and fulfillment units to enable one seamless IKEA experience for our customers. Would you like to join us and be a part of this exciting journey where you will lead the procurement agenda for IKEA within automated warehouse equipment?
Your knowledge and experiences have given you an outstanding understanding of the automated warehouse equipment industry, the suppliers on the market and the solutions created to support fulfilling customer orders. You are autonomous and are self-driven, open to challenges, changes and always look for new possibilities to develop the ways of working. You are a great communicator and enjoy interacting and building trustworthy relations with people.
More specifically, to be successful in this role, you have:
• at least 5 years of intralogistics equipment experience
• solid experience with logistics equipment, specifically with integrated warehouse solutions including packing machinery & materials
• a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge
• project management and problem-solving skills as demonstrated by experience and tangible accomplishments
• the capability to navigate in a complex stakeholder map
• strong knowledgeable in contract management
• fluent English language skills, both verbal and written
• proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
As a Purchaser you will have the opportunity to influence and make a difference for an important part of IKEA by supporting the process of designing the stores of tomorrow with automated fulfilment capabilities.
In this role, you will develop the business, take away cost from the value chain, whilst securing products and services with high quality, sustainability, and compliance standards. Additionally, you will:
• handle the logistics equipment procurement activities in a global environment
• work with the redesign of stores projects
• support project preparation from a commercial perspective
• manage supplier selection and pre-qualifications
• handle tendering and negotiation of logistics and warehousing equipment and services connected to it
• be responsible for contracting and follow-up
• take full responsibility for following and securing a compliant purchase process for Ingka Procurement organization
• build long term partnerships with stakeholders
• develop trusted relationships through the IKEA way of doing business
