The Role
We offer an interesting role with great development opportunities within Smarteq and PCTEL Inc
Since PCTEL headquarter is in USA, customers are located globally, production partners in Asia, you will have international contacts and limited travel possibly within USA, Europe and Asia.
You will work in an expanding business with interesting role where you will work closely with our R&D, PLM and Sales departments to fulfill the business. This requires experience in purchasing and logistics. Specifically, we seek you that have experience from industry with production and deliveries, contacts with suppliers, product cost management etc.
Examples of tasks / responsibilities:
§ Plan and coordinate the hands-on work within tactical and project sourcing activities such as;
o Participate in product development projects, cost responsibility, design reviews, total cost.
o Evaluate the dual sourcing option on new projects.
o Product cost structures.
§ Drive the allocation of volumes with each supplier based on forecast numbers
§ Drive increased efficiency at the existing suppliers
§ Create purchase orders to suppliers in ERP system, delivery monitoring, support questions, change of delivery plans, logistics portals
§ Work closely with the logistics forwarders to monitor incoming deliveries
§ Work closely with the 3PL warehouse, pack instructions etc.
§ Drive supplier development, performance score card etc., Negotiations etc
§ Analyze the product platform cost breakdown and seek for improvements
§ Updating price lists, agreements, developing the warehouse and logistic flows

Your Background and Experience
To succeed in the role, we prefer that you have the following qualifications:
§ Some years’ experience of hands-on purchasing and logistics
§ A degree in technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
§ Experience from the production industry is highly valued
§ Knowledge and experience from any ERP system e.g. Oracle, Jeeves etc
§ Knowledge in SharePoint and MS Office
§ Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Additional language skills are a merit
