Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Tasks
As a Sourcing Manager, you will be part of a great team. We enjoy working together. We are responsible for the purchase of spare parts for trucks, buses and engines. Our main task is to maintain a high level of quality and high delivery precision in terms of spare parts for Scania's aftermarket, and at the same time develop the business with a large number of suppliers.
Working as a Sourcing manager with us means a very close collaboration with our suppliers. The work is conducted cross functionally within Scania, primarily with "R&D", and "Parts and Service" and "Scania Parts Center". In order to best support the work of developing our product portfolio and developing existing agreements we are now looking for a Sourcing Manager who will manage and develop the business.
Do you enjoy a leader who valuesstraightforward communication, clarity and humour highly?
I have 10 years of experience from Scania whereas 6 years from Customized Solutions and purchasing. What makes me happy at Scania is the great cohesion we have and that I as a leader am given the opportunity to be challenged and developed together with my employees. One of the reasons why many of us choose to stay at Scania is that we can take on challenges in different parts of our business, which enables us to build on the knowledge and experience we have. Respect for the individual, taking advantage of our differences and experiences is the basis for us to succeed together. Saying what we think and daring to try new alternatives is also a prerequisite for us to thrive, develop and deliver together.
You
We are looking for you who together with us want to be involved in developing our mission and contributing with your knowledge and experience. We have many exciting and fun challenges ahead of us. We work intensively with sustainability and digitalisation. We think that you:
• Have a university degree within engineering with 3-5 years of relevant commercial and technical experience.
• Have a technical interest and a passion for business, with the skill of seeing the big picture and thinking strategically.
• Are independent, driven and solution oriented. Since the role involves contacts at several different levels both internally and externally, it is important that you have a good ability to communicate and collaborate with people.
• Are structured and able to handle several activities in parallel.
• Are fluent in spoken and written English. Swedish is an advantage as well as other language skills.
