Scania has one of the industry's strongest brands and is one of the most profitable heavy vehicle manufacturers. Scania's success is largely the result of continuously developing our employees, products, methods, suppliers and markets.
Scania Purchasing is responsible for buying products and services for all of Scania's units around the world. The global purchasing function is based in Södertälje. The Commodity group Structure and Maintenance is responsible for facility management, energy, maintenance and for purchasing of new construction and refurbishment for production facilities, office buildings, distributors and service workshops.
We are now looking for a purchaser to take responsibility for the maintenance
area.
Your duties
As a purchaser you will be responsible for effective cost solutions within maintenance products and services. Your primary duties will involve the development of the supplier base, creating business plans, ensuring delivery capacity, enquiries, negotiations and agreements.
You will carry out work in close cooperation with our internal customers and clients. This means that you will have a wide network of contacts, both internally and externally.
The office is located in Södertälje, but work is also carried out at other locations, which means the position involves some travel to Scania's various units and suppliers.
Your profile
We are looking for a person with a strong commercial and results focus and with a sound ability to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts both internally and externally. You will probably have a few years' experience of purchasing or have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way.
A holistic approach and an organisational, strategic and analytical ability, combined with creativity and the ability to get things done in a short time, are qualities that we regard as vital for a purchaser at Scania.
We are looking for someone who enjoys varied duties, is motivated and can work independently. You should be capable of expressing yourself fluently in both spoken and written English and Swedish, and have a university degree in a technical, economic or legal field.
If you think you fit this description and like the idea of joining a commercial and international environment with great opportunities for professional development, then we would love to hear from you. We look forward to receiving your application.
