Who we are
My team is specialized for the procurement of all exterior and interior plastic parts within development projects of whole Scania. This enables us to be at the forefront of all ongoing projects and innovations that will form our all’s future. We are currently a team of seven purchasers with different backgrounds, experiences and competences and would like you to join us on Scanias extra ordinary journey into the present of tomorrow.

Your main tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the procurement of plastic parts within product development projects, optimizing in regards to right technology, quality, delivery time, costs and last but not least sustainability.
You will manage a variety of parts within different projects and at different project stages. Reaching from early involvement when targets and time plans are set, over negotiating prices and conditions during the nominating phase up to secure supplier capacity and premium product quality for a smooth integration into our industrial system to be able to deliver our end customer a product that both we and the customer can be proud of: A true SCANIA. As a Project Purchaser, you will work in close contact and alignment with our cross functions as product development and production as well as with our suppliers to reach defined targets within the projects to contribute to Scanias strategy.
Your profile
• you have experience from plastics (from purchasing, R&D or manufacturing) and the challenge of letting only your imagination set limits to the manufacturing possibilities
• more than 7 years of relevant work experience
• Master in civil engineering, business administration or similar
• interest in both technology and business combined with a commercial mindset
• positive and open attitude with ability to motivate and guide others
• strategic thinking and ability to execute
• analytical, structured and able to handle multiple projects at the same time
• clear, professional and persuasive when communicating internally and externally and used to interacting with higher management
• fluent in spoken and written English, Swedish and/or German is a plus
