General Information
We are looking for a Purchaser for the Commodity group Powertrain Components within the department Powertrain & Chassis.
You will be part of a diverse and dedicated team of engaged purchasers with many different nationalities. We have a great team spirit, we believe in a climate where you can be yourself and diversity is a success factor where we treat everybody equally and with respect.
The complete team is located and working from the Scania Purchasing office in Södertälje in a modern work office landscape. Depending on the task, there are project areas, silent rooms and a lounge for a coffee break. There is also the possibility to work from home some days of the week thanks to the modern remote work system.
Responsibilities
As a Purchaser, or as we call it, Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for a couple of segments within the commodity of Powertrain Components which involves extensive contact both inside and outside Scania. Within your commercial area you will make new deals with both short- and long-term perspective, always with capacity, quality and cost in mind.
You will be responsible for a 3-ring and coordinate the strategic work that is done in cooperation with all Traton brands, Scania R&D, Project Purchasing, SQAs and Scania Latin America.
Your profile
We believe that you are passionate about the work as a purchaser and that you have 3-4 years of experience from it or from a related business area as well as a university degree. If you have previous experience from an automotive purchasing organization it’s an advantage.
We are looking for a person with a true commercial drive and a strategic mindset, with a good ability to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts both internally and externally and who dares to challenge the current way of working.
You are well organized, enjoy a fast tempo, and can manage short-term actions without losing focus on achieving long-term objectives.
To thrive with us, we think you are a humble and solution-oriented team player. You need to be responsible, driven, and have a positive attitude. You should also be able to independently plan your work to ensure good delivery precision.
