Minesto is looking for a Purchaser who is driven by the desire to minimise the global carbon footprint and inspired by the challenges in one of the world’s most expansive and dynamic industries.

As a Purchaser at Minesto, you will be a part of a purchase team working together in delivering Minesto’s ocean power plant DeepGreen to the market.

The role

As a Purchaser at Minesto your overall responsibility is to ensure that parts, subsystems and services are procured with a sufficient quality, in time and within the budget. You’ll have a wide-ranging responsibility during the complete purchase process. You will handle the daily purchases and monitor that they in line with the defined strategies to secure project deliveries and procurement compliance.

You will handle complex tasks from initiation of procurement, through technical discussions, negotiations and contracts to delivery of goods and logistics. As a part of the purchasing team you will handle all kinds of systems such as steel and welded structures, composite parts, hydraulic systems, sensors and electronics; anything from small components and tools to major product and system deliveries including installation work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage purchases according to the company’s procurement process that complies with EU-funded procurement regulations.
• Be responsible for sourcing and procurement in assigned system areas or commodity types.
• Engage in technology development and site projects as procurement representative in collaboration with project managers, designers and system owners.
• Quickly solve emerging purchasing needs and proactively anticipate any supply problems and suggest possible solutions.
• Represent Minesto externally to establish and maintain the global supplier network.
• Assist the Procurement Manager in maintaining a procurement process to a high business standard that complies with EU-funded procurement regulations.
• Educate and support Minesto’s employees in procurement process.

You will be based in Gothenburg but expect travelling to Minesto’s suppliers as well as to the operational sites.

Your profile

Minesto is looking for a business oriented and structured Purchaser, who is precise and thorough when communicating and following up orders from demand to supply. You are an energetic and flexible person who thrives on taking on complex tasks and accomplish them on time.

You are a team player who prefers to work closely with others as you collaborate daily with colleagues, both in the team and outside, and suppliers.

Furthermore, we see that you have a positive mindset towards any challenges that appear and have a structured way to approach and handle changing conditions.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years documented working experience within international procurement or supply chain.
• Education in Economics, Procurement, Logistics or similar.
• Experience in supplier negotiations and contracts, both existing and new suppliers.
• Familiar with Incoterms.
• Full working proficiency in English. Working proficiency in Swedish is a plus.

We see it as an advantage if you have experience in procurement with new technology and intensive product development projects, experience of public procurement processes including knowledge of EU-funded procurement rules and if you have worked with technology development within business areas such as Offshore, Marine, Aviation, Automotive or similar. Also, if you´re familiar with SQA (Supplier Quality Assurance) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
