Job description:
Valmet is looking for a Purchaser Trainee On-call who can lead, coordinate, and execute procurement work for Valmet EMEA Supply Chain, ensuring there is a competent, competitive, and timely supplier base. With location in Karlstad, you will serve Valmet Service Business line and work in close cooperation with suppliers and several functions such as Services Operations, Valmet global sourcing team, Sales, Engineering, Quality and Logistics among others. You will be part of the Parts Procurement team in Sweden and perform routine support tasks for the Procurement Engineers.
You are expected to work minimum one day a week (8h) and longer periods during summer holiday season. Start date to be discussed.
Key responsibilities with the role include:
Execute procurement assignments for named categories/suppliers.
Follow-up purchase orders for cost, quality, and delivery time.
Responsible for item maintenance in our ERP system and related systems.
Support sales and cost-estimation functions in sales projects with cost-data and sourcing activities.
Supplier invoice management.
Request for quotation of daily spares.
Requirements:
To be successful in this position, you need to have an open and cooperative attitude as well as a genuine driving force and desire to make good results for and success within Valmet. If you are also a social and communicative person who is active and initiative-taking, then we think that this position would suit you. Perhaps you are a student who would like to gain some more experience?
Since Valmet is an international company, you need to have good language skills in both English and Swedish. System knowledge in MS office and ERP systems are positive but not a requirement.
