Oriflame is an international cosmetics company selling direct, with sales in 61 countries.Oriflame offers a complete range of high quality skincare, fragrances, colour cosmetics, toiletries and accessories, marketed through a sales force of independent sales consultants.Although the company has grown rapidly it has never lost sight of its original business concept - natural Swedish cosmetics, sold from friend to friend.Oriflame is a co-founder of World Childhood Foundation.Oriflame Cosmetics is listed on the Nordic Exchange.The purpose of this job within Oriflame The Purchasing Category Manager is a key member of the New Product Development (NPD) team for its specific category.In the category team, Purchasing works together with Packaging, Marketing, R&D, Planning and Artwork to ensure successful launches of new products.Each year, Oriflame launches a large number of new products, which equates to up to 100 new products per year for the Skincare category. Within the NPD process, Purchasing's main deliverables are to estimate costs for different product options, find, negotiate and select suppliers for all products and ensure that the suppliers are fulfilling Oriflame's requirements. As a Purchasing Category Manager, you also play a key role within the Purchasing team supporting Strategic Sourcing with ensuring that Oriflame maintains a good and reliable supplier base providing the best total cost for the company. You have the following qualifications - Master of Science in Engineering or Business (or equivalent degree) - Fluency in English - At least three years work experience within purchasing You have the possess the following skills and characteristics - You have strong negotiation skills and enjoy making a good deal - You are a team player and have experience of working within a cross-functional team - You have commercial awareness, you understand cost drivers and enjoy doing business - You have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise way both internally and externally - You have the ability to cope with a high workload and deliver within tight deadlines - You have the ability to prioritise and manage tasks and responsibilities - You have great people management skills and enjoy developing and motivating direct reports Employment period The position is a maternity leave replacement limited to 18 months employment.
