The essence of Uptime & Adaptation (U&A) team purpose is to be responsible for customer needs and to create new business solutions with the right suppliers. Low volume offering, including mature technologies but also small-scale innovation with fast introduction, characterize the solutions developed through projects in cooperation with GTT Special Vehicle Development, and through Customers Adaptations (CA) with GTO and European brands teams.


By developing niche products with mature technologies, and by capturing small scale innovation with fast introduction, Adaptation Parts team actively contributes to Volvo Group ambition to sustain and grow low volume offering, new profitable business opportunities and customer satisfaction.

ROLE DESCRIPTION


As Purchasing Manager – Adaptation parts, you will lead a team of buyers whose primary mission is to secure best-in-class time to market with end-to-end part responsibility for the Customer Adaptation and Special Vehicle solutions, and you will be fully accountable for the QDCF-TSR performance of the supplier base.


You are responsible for the development, leadership, and engagement within your team as well as securing purchasing deliverables within your portfolio. You drive the department activities towards the wanted position and secure needed communication with your main stakeholders.


Close to the brands teams (Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks), your team fosters innovative solutions introduction - developed at suppliers - to deliver more value to the customers.


You also promote a strong collaboration between Buyers within Uptime and Adaptation Purchasing globally thereby capitalizing on regional inputs towards leveraging on business opportunities and developing tools and KPIs supporting the Customer Adaptation and Special Vehicle business.


Other main activities:
Be a member of Uptime & Adaptation Leadership team and in an active way contribute to the development of the department
Represent purchasing in relevant governance fora
Secure set targets and KPI fulfillment for your scope
Work in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values
