Scania Purchasing is an important part of the journey and is responsible for the purchase of products and services to all of Scania’s units worldwide.

We are looking for a Manager for the group working with our Commercial Operation network within the department Customized Solutions. Commercial Operations within purchasing were established to accelerate the integration of purchasing activities within Scania´s worldwide sales and service organization and now consists of several bricks e.g. purchasers at the Business Units globally, process development, system support and the central team in Södertälje. As Manager of the central team You will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of skilled and experienced strategic purchasers with a lot of drive. You will also be intrigued by the different procurement areas to keep Scania’s sales and service business running, such as Real Estate Investments and Facilities management, workshop equipment, People & Culture, and Body buildings on our chassis.

Main tasks

As Purchasing Manager within the Commercial Operations area, You focus on creating the prerequisites for the team to succeed in an evolving and complex environment. Together, you and the team target tough ambitions of lead time reductions, savings and value creation for our Business Units, dealers and end customers.

With solid integrity, you represent the team, the department, Purchasing, or Scania on various occasions and in a global environment. You will coach colleagues and team members in day-to-day challenges, such as negotiation tactics and relationship management.

Your work includes plenty of interactions internally, within Commercial Operations, Sales & Marketing, VW group, and Business Units as well as with suppliers. You have a business mindset, put the team and Scania first, and work according to the Scania leadership principles.

Who am I as a Manager? 

I have worked at Scania Purchasing for the last 14 years and prior to that have experience in other business areas. As a person, I would describe myself as positive, engaged, target oriented, and transparent. I am motivated by challenges and enjoy an environment of improvements, collaboration and a can-do mindset.
