General Purchasing is looking for a new member to an open climate where inclusiveness and team spirit are high on our agenda.  


As the Purchasing Manager for Commodity Structure and Maintenance you will be heading a diverse, skilled and dedicated team of engaged purchasers. Your role will be key in the future success for the Commodity and the Department.

You and your team work together with Scania CV and Scania Industrial Maintenance to fulfil the needs in the current business and at the same time developing and executing segment and supplier strategies in order to support Scania on the journey in to the future to “Drive the Shift”.  With a balanced TQDCS (Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Sustainability) in mind and a long term perspective, the team secures the right capacity and structure for Scania and for their respective segments. Your focus is to create the prerequisites and coach your team in day-to-day challenges to succeed in an evolving and complex environment.

With solid integrity you will be a representative within Purchasing, Scania, Traton and VW at various occasions and in a global environment.

The Scania Purchasing office is located in Södertälje, with a modern activity-based office landscape and the possibility to work from home some days of the week, thanks to the up-to-date remote work system.

• Academic degree and relevant work/leadership experience, experience of purchasing or related areas is a clear advantage.
• Positive, proactive, structured, flexible, takes own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open cases and have good leadership skills.
• Are respectful as well as having your own opinion and dare to express it.
• Keen on sharing experience, know-how and support to further develop the entire community
• Ability to collaborate, build trust and to be clear in your communication with others since your work includes interactions at different levels within the organization and the Group
• High level of integrity and good judgment and work according to the Scania values and leadership principles.
• You are proficient in written and spoken English and Swedish.
