If yes, we hope you are ready to take your career to the next level working with the amazing people within SW – Customized Solutions as the current manager for Purchasing Commercial Operations Region Europe will leave his position.
Main mission
As a Manager, you will be responsible to coach and develop a number of purchasing teams locally employed by different business units within Commercial Operations region Europe. The main objectives will be to meet agreed purchasing targets and to ensure that purchasing activities are performed in a compliant and a professional Scania Purchasing way.
You will also be the spokesperson for the business units in your region into Scania Global Purchasing for local needs as well as needed support and process improvement within the purchasing area.
In addition to the above, you will have close cooperation with the central purchasing team at the SW department and with the purchasing processes owner within the Scania Commercial Operation.
Your profile
You’re looking for an environment to grow where you need to take your own initiative and have the maturity and ability to handle multiple open cases. You like to work in a multi-cultural environment with high ambitions and you share a mindset of collaboration. As psychical presence at the different business units will be of essence from time to time you will need to be able to travel frequently.
Beneficial is if you have a commercial understanding with good experience of business to business negotiations as it’s an important part of our job. The work includes a lot of interactions at different levels with our cross functions and it is therefore important that you also are capable to manage communication in an international company.
A previous experience in Management, Purchasing, and Scania Commercial Operations is of course an important advantage.
Me and the management team
My name is Johan Mandell and I have been working in the area of purchasing for 16 years, mainly within Scania Purchasing but I also spent 3 years heading the Procurement function at a company within the construction sector. I have had the opportunity to work in different managerial roles within General Purchasing, Cab & Electronics, Powertrain, and now at Customized Solutions.
What truly drive me are challenging tasks and the opportunity to make a change. I find it very motivating to have the ability to utilize the strengths and capabilities from both the team and individuals to achieve our objectives. I prefer environments that are dynamic and with a high pace rather than the opposite.
The SW management team consists of ten fantastic colleagues with a mix of backgrounds, experiences, and competences. We act and work as one team and strongly believe in both individual and joint accountability connected to what we together set out to achieve. We are encouraged by creating a modern, open workplace where people are involved, engaged, and connected.
