A great opportunity is now available to be part of this journey at Scania purchasing as Manager for Scania Bus Bodies, SWC.

Role and Task                             

In the area of Buses & Coaches there is a fast changing environment with high customer interaction adopting the way of working in development projects using agile methods and partnership to be able to reach the target. Tasks and deviations will be handled and solved in close cooperation with R&D, Production, Sales and Market as well as Scania project office. You will be the stakeholder in various cross functional decision forums and with active involvement in the PD-Process striving to achieve sufficient design and quality to the lowest possible cost.

You are as a Manager responsible to lead and develop a team with highly competent co-workers. Securing that we have a development for both group and co-workers. Creating an environment where all can perform at their best and contributing to fulfil the task laying ahead.

The Bus Bodies team are working with both commodity and project in a mixed group gives a lot of opportunity to steer and manage your team to handle the tasks ahead.

As purchasing manager you will be a member of the Purchasing Buses and Coaches management team, and contribute to further develop the department.

You report to Purchasing Director, Buses and Coaches.

Your profile

You are proactive, structured, organized, flexible, take own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open cases and have a strong interest in project management and have leadership skills. You take on tasks and deviations with a solution oriented way, with a positive mindset. Supporting and working close to your peers in the cross function to achieve a good team spirit and reaching the best possible results for Scania comes naturally for you.

Your work includes a lot of interactions at different professional levels, both internally, within Traton and with suppliers, so it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and build trust and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity and good judgment and work according the Scania leadership principles.

Experience in project or commodity purchasing, management or project management, would be an advantage for your application. You understand Swedish and speak and write fluent English and have an University degree or similar as base.
