Purchasing Officer Openings & Closures

We are looking for a Purchasing Officer that will be a member of the Purchasing and Supplier Management, belonging to the Openings & Closures organization.You will support the Openings & Closures business, by organizing and managing purchasing activities with Key Suppliers.You will report to Manager, Purchasing and Supplier Management Openings & Closures.The work includes travelling worldwide.


Your main responsibilities will be:

- Enhance an existing network of key suppliers, in the field of Plastic Injection Moulding, Plastic Injection Tool making and Moulding Automation
- Source, negotiate and contract both existing and potential suppliers, to secure suppliers' high performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery
- Manage Frameworks agreement with selected suppliers
.Manage and follow up Purchase Orders for complex and high investment production equipment.
- Interpret and communicate purchasing procedures to relevant stakeholders; assists stakeholders in initiating requisitions and orders, and solves problems with orders
- Write and distribute complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposals; receive and analyze bids, quotes, proposals, and award the contract
- Be part of cross functional projects for Product Development and/or Continuous Improvements and facilitate early involvement of the suppliers in product design and encourage standardization
- Follow up all stages of the supplier management process, supporting long term business sustainability
- Contribute to market scouting activities, to identify sourcing alternatives and potential, in support of Strategic Capacity deployment worldwide


Kvalifikationer

The successful candidate has an economy or engineering education, preferably at University level.Skills in supplier management, negotiation and cost analyses are essential.At least 2 years of experience in purchasing/procurement or working with external professional relationship are required.Experience in the field of Plastic Injection Moulding is a plus.You are fluent both in spoken and written English.

As a person you have a good business understanding and you are able to create and manage inter-personal relationship at a professional level.You are able to communicate clearly and concisely with team members, colleagues and with suppliers.Furthermore you have high integrity and are a self motivated team player.You will work in an international environment and you will be required to travel to different locations worldwide, approximately 30% of working time.
