Then we might have the challenge for you! ALTEN are looking for a new purchasing and facility officer to our headquarter in Gothenburg!
Purpose of the role
As purchasing officer, you will be part of a purchasing team where your objective is to improve the purchasing processes of ALTEN Sweden. The function work in close collaboration to the other back office functions as well as to the business organization. Your job is mainly to be responsible for the contact with vendors and suppliers. From research, evaluation and comparing order and quality follow ups. You are expected to handle the negotiations and to critically compare prizes to find the best suitable vendors for ALTEN Sweden to support the business. ALTEN Sweden have offices in 11 different locations so you will manage the needs of all these from the headquarter.
Main Responsibilities
• Researching and evaluating potential vendors
• Comparing the prices of different vendors for gaining maximum ROI
• Negotiating contracts on reasonable terms for pricing and supply
• Tracking the orders and ensuring timely deliveries
• Monitoring purchased products to ensure quality
• Updating order details into our internal databases
• Issuing purchase reports including the cost analysis
• Placing orders as and when required
• Collaborating with the team to develop purchasing plans and find potential vendors
• Maintaining good relationships with suppliers

Your profile
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Management or relevant field with strong understanding of purchasing management software’s, purchasing processes and policies. Proven track record of working as a Purchasing Officer or a similar role for at least 5 years. We require proficient computer skills in Microsoft office programs since you should have the ability to create reports and conduct cost analysis. You have a professional level of both Swedish and English. As mentioned, we also expect you to have excellent negotiation skills and ability to review contracts. As a person you have no problem with time management and you like being part of a dynamic organization. You are a team player with strong organizational skills. Other would describe you as structured, communicative and detail oriented with good problem-solving skills.
