Purchasing Professional

The Wire and Heating Technology product area currently leads the world in the manufacture of stainless steel wire, metallic and ceramic heat resistant materials used in, for example, welding, medical applications, electrical heating of household appliances and industrial ovens.Management and the greater part of R&D for this product area are currently located in Hallstahammar, Sweden.We are now looking for a Purchasing Professional to join our Purchasing group of five buyers (operative and strategic), who work closely with production.Key performance areas As a Purchasing Professional you are responsible for creating and maintaining long-term business relationships with suppliers and internal clients.You are given the possibility to take responsibility and opportunities to influence varied tasks that, among others include: - Being responsible for electrical and mechanical items and services purchases - Taking care of all purchasing steps including evaluating suppliers, drawing up contracts and negotiations, etc.- Supporting and supervising investment and cost saving projects by utilizing LEAN - Developing, influencing and changing existing ways of working - Contributing to the continual development of stock, flow and delivery processes within purchasing This full time position is based in Hallstahammar, Sweden, but you must be prepared to travel to all geographical regions. Your profile We are looking for someone with theoretical knowledge of purchasing, with training from SILF or a similar institute and at least five years of documented work experience in strategic purchasing and leading projects.Good knowledge of Excel, Lotus Notes and MS Office is a requirement, as is a good understanding of databases and the APS system Movex.Applicants for this position must be able to write contracts in Swedish and English and have a full understanding of different terms and conditions such as Incoterms 2000, ORGALIME or equivalent terms.As an individual you are result-and-goal-oriented.You are interested in technology and have a structured and systematic way of working with the ability to see possibilities and solve problems.Strong integrity and the ambition to develop as a strategist are prerequisites for this position.Your attitude is consultative and supportive, and you possess a natural, cooperative way of working with those around you.You are able to communicate/present results effectively using MS Office.You appreciate the challenge of building, managing and developing business relationships in a global environment.Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speaking and writing, is a requirement.Your application may be in either Swedish or English.
