Purchasing Project Manager

Volvo Buses is looking to hire a Purchasing Project Manager.
As part of the purchasing project group at Volvo Buses you would be working with the future development of Volvo Buses global platform development for production in our plants in Sweden, Poland, Brazil, Mexico and Canada. In your role you will be working with a global team of professional purchasers in Buses and AB Volvo, each with his or her special area of expertise. You will also work closely with supplier quality, product development, logistics, production and aftermarket. Together we make sure that the projects meet the needs of the different stakeholders, the company and our society.
Your role
Working in this position you would be representing purchasing a broad range of projects from large product platforms to customer/legal/technical required product changes and other areas within purchasing where project management expertise is needed. You will also work with your global colleagues in purchasing project management to develop and share best practice and communicate project status to upper management.
You are expected to take an active part in supporting the buyers in their tasks, giving clear guidelines on project needs and in many cases support in the sourcing process including supplier meetings. Your work would follow the Volvo Way and Volvo Group corporate values.
