Mission:
The mission of the Purchasing Synergy Manager within GTP is strategically important, as the person would be responsible to plan and visibly drive strategic synergy projects between the different purchasing organizations in Europe.

Purchasing Synergy Manager
Main Responsibilities:
Be the main interface towards other BAs (Volvo Bus, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta and Arquus) and contribute to the development of the Group Network Analytics & Group Synergies function.
Coordinate the communication and alignment between the different purchasing teams.
Develop and lead different purchasing synergy forums, such as Regional Synergy Steering Committee and Regional Synergy Working Group.
Assimilate and translate ideas / thoughts from different stakeholders regionally into workable proposals.
Coordinate the formulation of the regional Synergy Execution Plan.
Drive knowledge sharing within all BAs regionally.
Support detailed data analysis on segments, supplier and part base regionally and make recommendations. If agreed with TD/BAs, also drive the implementation of synergy cases.
Support strategic discussions with common suppliers across all BAs within Europe region.
Represent Group Synergies in the sourcing decision forums across the different purchasing organizations.
Coordinate the sourcing activities and sourcing cases to leverage the Volvo Group’s business.
Coordinate and drive the purchasing synergy performance reporting regionally.
Within Group Network Analytics & Group Synergies function, gather continuous improvement ideas and identify potential improvements through process assessment, anchor with relevant stakeholders, develop, implement and measure the outcome.
Have regular dialogue with Head of Group Network Analytics & Group Synergies to understand needs, review priorities and communicate benefits / opportunities of synergies in different management forums.

Competence, Experience & Qualities:
University degree in Engineering / Technology and / or Business Administration
Good knowledge in Automotive Purchasing with at least 7 years of relevant experience within the line organization
Good business acumen
Good knowledge in all Volvo purchasing systems
