About the position
We are seeking a highly motivated chemist to strengthen and complement our current purification capabilities. At Red Glead Discovery, you will have the possibility to play a vital role in the development next generation of small molecule and peptide drug candidates. You will contribute with your scientific and technical competence to help our chemists drive the progress of our multidisciplinary projects. You will also have the chance to participate in development of a fast-growing company and to help us match current and future needs of our clients.
What you do
You will plan, perform, and oversee purification and analysis of small molecules and peptides on a milligram to gram scale. You are expected to operate and maintain the department’s analytical and preparative HPLC instruments. You will handle first line support and troubleshooting of our HPLC and MS instruments. In the position, you will work with co-workers, partners, and clients in drug discovery projects – often in global and multi-disciplinary settings.
You will contribute to the development of our separation and analytical technologies and promote utilizing modern technology and instruments such as automated purification systems to increase output and deliverables to our clients.

What you need
You have minimum 2 years of industrial experience in purification of organic compounds or peptides combined with a university degree in organic or analytical chemistry. Strong practical skills in preparative HPLC are required as well as good understanding of HPLC and MS instruments. Experience with supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) is beneficial.
Working knowledge of modern analytical and separation methods in organic and peptide chemistry. Experience of separation of enantiomers and diastereomers is highly advantageous.
You are confident in written and oral communication in English and can build and maintain trustworthy interactions with colleagues and clients to be able to deliver according to agreed timelines and standards.
