We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Python Backend-Developer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
We believe in Agile methods of working and have a structure in place where people from Engineering, Data & Analytics, and Product Management work together to build great product teams.
The scope of the consultant services is to assist the client as a backend Python Developer. You will develop new functionality and maintain/refactor one or more of our core Python modules that comprise our Business Planning platform, much of which will likely include optimising the performance of data and calculation-intensive APIs.
You will also assist in the maintenance of underlying GCP infrastructure (IaaC) and data storage, as well as the implementation of monitoring of preproduction and production environments, bug fixes, upgrades, and support to counterpart module teams.
You will also be responsible for improving our build and deployment processes.
Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:
Competency prerequisites for the applicant:
Maintaining and extending Python APIs and distributable libraries is a proven track record.
Extensive knowledge of optimising the performance of data and calculation-intensive APIs.
Versatile – has problem-solving and bug-fixing experience across the backend tech stack.
Python 3, PyPi package management,
Terraform,
GitHub actions,
SQL, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (including Cloud Build).
