QA Automation Engineer

Global Technology is looking for an Automation QA Tester with a background and passion for software development. Join the Nasdaq Post Trade Clearing product teams, the teams are strong spirited with varying levels of experience, as seasoned QA engineer you will have to opportunity to both learn from experts in the teams as well as share your previous knowledge with others. The product you will work with is a vast and complex, which will offer technical challenges, and the opportunity to choose tasks based on your interest and expertise.
About the role:
The team consists of a mixture of driven problem-solvers from all over the world. Your main responsibility will be to build test case suites for our products and implement those in an automated fashion.
This is a great opportunity to grow as a QA/Developer! You will expand your knowledge and understanding of the client setup while taking part in and supporting test activities together with the client. Our QA Test professionals are integrally involved in meeting our challenge to develop robust, high-quality software, with ever-increasing performance requirements and simultaneously contributing to improving agility. Your day-to-day tasks might be (but not limited to) to automate functional and regression testing for new enhancements being delivered, write new test cases, report defects and discuss complicated requirements and their outcome with business analysts and developers. Support your team and our clients in their various test activities too. What we require for this position:
A Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
At least 2 years of experience in automated testing.
Work experience in Software Development, preferably in Java
A passion and drive for Software Testing.
Excellent language skills in written and spoken English.
It would be nice if you have:
Experience from the FinTech industry will be considered very meriting. In addition, experience from work in financial back-office functions is meriting as well.
A strong curiosity about financial markets.
Experience with GIT, Unix/Linux, and Jira
