QA Engineer – Strategy & Process Quality Management

About the role:
Nasdaq is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to lead the establishment of a new Quality Center of Excellence for cross-product Quality Assurance and Quality Control at Nasdaq Global Technology in Umeå. You will play a leading role in shaping the strategic direction for quality management taking the organization towards an agile way of leading quality. The role encompasses the complete product portfolio of Software Products and Software Services for Market Infrastructure Operators and spans the complete securities transaction processing chain from trading via clearing & risk to settlement & depository. You will be working directly with the senior managers of the different product teams in the Product & Platform Engineering organization while impacting the work output of +500 people.
Your responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead improvement initiatives in both areas of Quality Assurance and Quality Control. You will also provide leadership in the development of the future quality management strategy aimed at taking the quality ambitions of the product portfolio to the next level including embracing an agile way of working with a Quality Engineering mentality. Moreover, you will ensure that the Product & Platform Engineering organization has common practices and processes in place in all aspects of the quality work, from product development lifecycle governance to test process alignment and information security compliance.

To summarize, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Lead quality management improvement initiatives within the existing quality assurance framework
Lead change in test methodology and test process to improve quality in product deliveries for customers
Develop KPIs for measuring quality, requirements coverage, and test coverage
Drive review processes to ensure that they align with the QA framework, trends, and standard processes
Plan, conduct, and supervise the test, and inspect the products to ensure their quality
Evaluate and assess continuous quality improvement within multiple product teams
You will bring:
A degree in Computer Science or another related field
Should have proven work experience of 6+ years in the relevant area
Experience with quality assurance maturity models such as TMMI and TPI
Experience in agile quality management with experience in Quality Engineering
Hands-on testing experience from technical complex systems in an international environment
History of analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws, and pose solutions to those flaws
Proven leadership, professionally or at a non-profit organization
Abilities to engage and collaborate closely with external clients, suppliers, and internal collaborators
Decision-making skills involve choosing alternatives and evaluating their relative merits.
