Arbetsbeskrivning
The QA Department are our guardians of quality, the ones that ensure that the games we release are up to the standards of our much beloved players. If you are a creative, yet organized person with professional experience working as a Quality Assurance/Assistance professional within the gaming industry with a keen understanding of Jira and console development - we want to see your candidacy for this role!
About the role
As a QA Project Coordinator at Paradox, your role will entail working closely with the QA Lead and QA Manager, but also assist in creating a relationship with producers, internal stakeholders and various outsourcing partners.
You will ensure that new features are thoroughly tested, coordinating between the different disciplines, as well as hands-on QA work, such as writing up test plans and engaging with the game to report defects. In this role you will get a chance to interact with almost the entire organization, and will get very familiar with both our people and our games. We believe strongly in the Swedish way of “Freedom with responsibility”, which means that you will have a lot of autonomy in your role. The ideal Project Coordinator creates, assesses and tests out the QA processes they have been a part of creating.
As a QA Project Coordinator on Stellaris you will be required to perform both administrative tasks such as data manipulation and presentation as well as directly engaging with the project as a QA expert - reporting defects, regression testing and providing feedback on the features that are being developed.
Requirements
We are open to all applicants at different levels of game industry experience and we strive to create and maintain a diverse workplace, therefore we highly encourage everyone to apply!
Game QA experience, preferably within console development
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - solid interpersonal skills
In-depth experience in using Jira or other bug databases, preferably understanding backend workflows of Jira
Comfortable with manipulating, interpreting or presenting data in Excel or Google Sheets
Experience in leading or coordinating manual test cycles for larger DLCs or games
We believe that for you to succeed in this role, it’s important that you are people-oriented, since you will be the contact point for a lot of your stakeholders. When in contact with them, it’s going to benefit you greatly to be as concise and clear in your communication, while keeping it relevant. Additionally, we are looking for an individual with a strong process-oriented mindset, constantly looking for ways to improve existing structures or outright build new ones.
Paradox is a growing company in a changing industry. We are looking for a curious and adaptable team member who likes to actively collaborate with the people around them. You are not afraid to raise issues, continuously strive to improve, and seek to inspire your colleagues.
