QA Test Automation Developer

Infinera is strengthening our Metro L2 development team within RnD with a QA Test Automation Developer (Quality Assurance Engineer). The team is responsible for design, development and verification of new features in Layer 2 area on our successful and broadly deployed XTM platform. The successful candidate will join a team with extensive system knowledge of the Infinera Metro products with customer experience in focus.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Plan, design and implement test strategies for newly developed features.
Work closely with developers and PO to prioritize test areas of interest and define new needs and gaps
Maintain existing test battery, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance to development team on corrective actions
Participate actively in backlog grooming and effort estimations

Education & Experience Necessary for Success:
Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent working experience
Experience as a test automation engineer
Experience of networking protocols preferably L0/L1 and/or L2 protocols, and networking knowledge in general
Experience in System testing both development and execution, manual and automated tests

Advantages:
Experience in test automation e.g. Py_test script knowledge
Networking and protocols experience.
Experience with use of test equipment from e.g. IXIA, Spirent, Viavi, Anritsu etc.
Working in Scrum setup
