QA Test Engineer

SKF Connected Technologies provides a range of offers covering condition monitoring, load and rotation sensing, online systems, mobile systems, wireless systems and numerous software solutions, which are now designed specifically to enable rotation equipment performance offers and scalability.

As QA Test Engineer, you will be part of the team in Luleå that develop SKFs condition monitoring products. Our products fit into SKFs digitalization platform and you will be involved in the whole product lifecycle – from design, implementation and production to commercial deployment and maintenance.


Your day-to-day work
Design, implement and maintain test cases and test environments for embedded components and/or systems.
Preparation and execution of manual and automated tests.
Reproducing and diagnosing reported defects.
Contribute to and work with the overall test/system architecture alongside the team.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware and software engineers to ensure hardware, firmware and system compatibility.
Evaluation of new technologies/tools for improving productivity and/or enhancing products.
Possible customer interfacing during the development.
Developing smart/innovative solutions to give SKF the edge on the market.
Adhere to and improve the test team’s Way of Working process.
Travel may be required to support product development and test activities.



We expect you to have/be
University degree, preferable in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
Self-motivated, strong drive and action-oriented mind-set with high sense of personal accountability
Good proficiency in English language
We see it as beneficial if you have at least 3-5 years of experience working with test of embedded systems, Digital signal processing and/or electric measurement techniques. If you have knowledge in LabView, TestStand, Python programming, build and test automation with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) and are accustomed to working in Agile development teams or other roles in Agile development teams then that’s a plus.
