About the role:
Nasdaq is looking for a QA Test Engineer Senior Specialist to join the NCCP team within the Client Clearing Engineering organization at Nasdaq Marketplace Technology, to plan, lead and execute quality assurance work for high profile customers like Hong Kong Exchange, Singapore Exchange, Australian Securities Exchange, Swiss Exchange and Saudi Stock Exchange. You will work directly with the senior managers of the different NCCP product teams to lead test strategy definition, test planning and test execution. Your responsibilities:
In this role you will take responsibility for the software quality of system deliveries to Nasdaq’s NCCP customers. With your quality approach you engage early in customer delivery projects to define a comprehensive test strategy that is targeting the unique characteristics of the customer’s system setup. You define a test scope that is applicable for the functionality of the release at hand adding regression test activities covering business scenarios that span multiple functional areas. You ensure to use a combination of manual test and test automation activities to guarantee that quality objectives are met while at the same time resources are used effectively. You engage in manual test execution activities and document results and coverage in appropriate tools and reports.
You bring to the role a deep understanding of test methodology and hands-on experience from testing in sophisticated system deliveries preferably from the FinTech industry. You probably have a certification in ISTQB or similar and you have experience from test automation.
To be successful, you need to have a quality mentality and an ability to adapt when pre-requisites are changing. In addition, we foresee structure and a great attention to details as important, along with being comfortable liaising with individual contributors, as well as getting the most out of a team.

Furthermore, you will have the following responsibilities:
Take lead in test strategy definition and liaise with NCCP managers to define test scope and to plan test execution using staff from the various product teams
Perform manual test execution of customers' business functionality implemented in the NCCP solution
Create test reports with status updates including progress reporting and defect statistics
Take part in the development of important metrics for measuring quality, requirements coverage and test coverage
Orchestrate review processes to ensure that test artifacts align to QA framework
Evaluate and assess continuous quality improvements
You will bring:
A degree in Computer Science or related field
Should have demonstrated ability in the relevant area
Demonstrated leadership, formally or informally
Experience with functional, test automation and non-functional testing
Hands-on testing experience from technical complex systems in an international environment
A history of analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws
Abilities to engage and collaborate closely with external clients, suppliers, and internal customers
Decision-making skills that involve choosing alternatives and evaluating their relative merits.
Experience with project management skills sure would-be a plus
A strong inner drive and motivation, thriving in a high pace environment
Strong English communication skills
