The QHSE/OHSE Manager will be accountable for managing all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regarding to the production and site in Sävsjö
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the highest standards of health & safety throughout the entire operation, acting as a role model for best practice in this area at all times
• Drive a Safety first culture & continually improve safety record by understanding & supporting all safety programs for both physical safety issues & employee safety attitudes
• Ensure the factory is able to maintain required certifications (including ISO) for Quality, Laboratories, Environment & Safety
• Manage the Quality function for the site, enabling achievement of PQRS goals & targets, as well as managing the reduction of consumer complaints over the long term
• Working as a member of the Level 3 factory leadership team, to contribute towards the creation of strategic plans for the long term development of the factory
• Drive establishment of best management practices & continuous improvement (such as MBU/lean manufacturing, Imperial Manufacturing System IMS, etc) throughout assigned areas which include all employees’ positive involvement, constructive input & action
• Lead & actively coach key business projects, ensuring they meet the desired goals within the defined budgets & timelines
• Lead the development of all team members to meet the agreed goals & targets, including the development of an effective succession plan for the areas of responsibility
• Act as the first point of contact with key stakeholders within the area of QHSE/OSHE
• Represent the factory & actively participate in regional forums & workgroups in related areas, including on relevant cross audits & category projects (including an ability to travel internationally when required)
• Ensure all activities of the QHSE/OHSE Department meet the local legislation applicable & that they are in line with all relevant Imperial Brands Group policies
• Manage all elements of the departmental budget to ensure alignment with all business plan & subsequent latest estimate forecasts
• Ensure that effective processes within the responsibility are in place & revised when needed
• Oversee the management of outsourced services within areas of responsibility, ensuring value for money & achievement of relevant KPIs at all times
Candidate requirements:
Essential:
• Degree level qualification in an Engineering or equivalent field or appropriate, work based, long term experience in an equivalent role
• NEBOSH General Certificate or studying towards
• Working in a similar role for at least five years managing teams
• Proven experience in managing QHSE/OHSE organizations/projects
• Speak & write English fluently
• Advanced Swedish language skills
• An understanding of local legislation and work practices for Labour and OHSE regulation
Desirable:
