Every train needs a unique motor for its purpose. Each motor is tailor-made to customer requirements and to the operation conditions of each train that it powers: enabling superior efficiency, lowest energy consumption and high reliability.
Now you have the opportunity to join a team that provide electrical motors for sustainable transportation. You will become part of ABB Traction Motors in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and sell electrical motors with focus on rail applications but also within the e-mobility segment. This position will provide you with many opportunities and interesting challenges on both local and global level.

The role is reporting to Quality Manager.
Your responsibilities
In projects – responsible for quality and control plans, perform FAI (first article inspection) with Customer and perform audits with Customer.
In production – secure quality of incoming goods together with production quality people. Investigate deviations within production.
With suppliers – follow up supplier level of quality (PPAP) through quality and control plans. Perform audits at suppliers (in Sweden and abroad). Handle deviations with suppliers (ie 8D reports).

Result- and solution-oriented, working in team and independently
Feeling comfortable with deadlines, structured
Interested in developing standardized way of working
Easily communicating, both in speaking and writing, in Swedish and English
Meet Customer and suppliers in audits
Common work for you is the ability to write 8D report etc
Knowledge about rail business (IRIS std), is a merit
