QUALITY ASSURANCE / COMPONENT ENGINEER
We are now looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Quality Assurance / Component Engineer.
The Quality and Product assurance team within the company covers a wide range of tasks to plan, manage and execute product and project quality assurance aspects for satellite projects starting from initial product design, manufacture, test, to delivery. Within the projects your key responsibility will be to provide quality assurance for electrical and electronic components. We are a small flexible team and additional skills within quality management are an advantage.
Task breakdown:
Responsibility for Quality Assurance and selection of Electrical/Electronic/Electro mechanical (EEE) components specific for space applications
Inspections of hardware. Incoming inspection, inspections during production, integration and testing, and outgoing inspections. Working in a clean room environment.
Drive planning and execution of audits and reviews, (EEE components, processes, materials, design, manufacturing, testing, qualification) both with suppliers and customers.
Within assigned projects act as key responsible to customers and suppliers in project/product quality issues.
Writing quality documentation in accordance with project quality requirements and ECSS standards.
Review and approval of project documentation
Regular reporting (internal and external) of quality issues.
Handling of Deviation management, Non-Conformance Reports, Request for Deviations/Waivers. Root cause analysis, Corrective and Preventive actions.
Participate in the maintenance of the company’s Quality Managements system compliant to ISO 9001
Perform internal audits as per ISO 9001
Required qualifications:
EEE component knowledge. EMC & radiation.
Experience from Quality assurance within space or other advanced technology and manufacturing, > 5 years
Experience working in a clean room environment
Experience of visual inspections and inspections using microscope
Preferred knowledge of ECSS standards
University degree (MSc) in Electronics, Space, Materials or Quality
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Preferred knowledge of Quality management systems based on ISO 9001
Speaking and writing in English, Swedish is an advantage
Ability to work in a precise way on multiple tasks and against tight deadlines
The work location is in Kista
We are looking for a team-player who has the ability to work autonomously meeting project needs and requirements. Capability for problem solving and initiative are necessary as well as the ability to work in a pragmatic way focusing on finding the right level of quality and to deliver on time. Travel may be required, primarily within Europe.
