Quality Assurance Engineer

Arbetsbeskrivning

At Nexus, we secure the new society that emerges in the ever-expanding world of digital transformation. By constantly challenging ourselves to go further and do better, we’re developing cutting-edge technology for high demanding global clients. Nexus’ Smart ID solutions and IoT platforms are revolutionizing how we perceive trusted identities. Do you want to be a part of our journey?

Nexus, a part of the French IN Groupe, is a European leader and innovative identity management company. We secure society by enabling trusted identities for people and things. With 300 employees, some would consider us a smaller company, but we have the privilege to protect the workforce and IoT solutions for world-class customers.

Anushri Kinhikar, Product Owner - Digital Access, is looking to strengthen the team with a talented Quality Assurance Engineer, to join us in our Stockholm office. This is a permanent position and it is open to all applicants intending to relocate as soon as possible. If you thrive in tech and in an international environment this might be the right opportunity for you. Give your career a real boost by participating in the digital transformation of society while contributing to securing identities.

What will you be doing at Nexus

You will join a team of innovative engineers based in Stockholm. The team is part of the engineering department whose mission  is to provide a modern and future-proof SaaS environment for Nexus customers for IoT, Workplace, and Workforce solutions.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work on Nexus Smart ID Digital Access. Smart ID Digital access management is the component that defines how to grant and manage secure access to different users to the right digital resources. Digital Access provides several methods for multifactor authentication, authorization of users by access rules, and an access portal to collect all available resources. Identity federation and single sign-on (SSO) enable users to log in once to get access to multiple applications and systems. To grow with the market, we are constantly making the product more feature-rich, and easy to deploy in the cloud, on-premises, or deliver as a Service.

In this role, you will be primarily a Quality Assurance Engineer within the team. You will be an architect in the cloud transition and contribute to interesting feature development activities. You will also help to drive the DevOps story and enable the team to become even more DevOps-oriented.

You will work closely with the customer, therefore, from time to time you will have direct contact with internal and external customers of the product. This can be for new feature development, cloud strategy discussions, PoCs, or PKI ceremonies. We believe in the concept “you develop it, you run it”.

You will also do awesome things like:

- Engage with automation and innovation.

- Develop strategies for automated tests and higher automation test coverage.

- Analyze complex system behavior, performance, and application issues.

- Working with cross-functional teams to deliver a world-class product with high quality.

Examples of things we use are:

Application: Java, Selenium, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes

Tools: GIT, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Azure Pipelines

About you

You have years of professional experience in testing/verification of server and/or client applications. Experience in security (e.g. PKI, SAML), microservices, Spring Boot and Docker can work in your favor.

We believe that you have -

- Academic education in engineering, specializing in Computers or equivalent.

- Experience in test automation.

- Expertise in writing automated tests using the language of your choice like Java, Python, etc.

- Experience in load and performance testing of high-volume critical systems.

- Experience in authoring tests with Selenium.

To thrive in this role you should enjoy being a passionate defender of the DevOps mindset. You like sharing your ideas and inspiring people around you. You have at least 4-5 years of experience with software testing.

You have knowledge and understanding of public and private cloud, related technologies e.g. Docker, Azure, Kubernetes. Good to have: knowledge of Gradle, GIT, ReST.

If you also have experience in security, that’s great, however, we at least expect strong interest and willingness to learn. We are looking for someone who can take ownership and work independently as well as collaborate with colleagues!

Life at Nexus

At Nexus, we do things together as a team, collaboration is key. We never assume and do our best to be open-minded, to listen, to understand. We value initiatives to get things out and take ownership.  “Own it!” is always in our mindset. We always seek constant improvement. We all help each other to build new skills and best practices through the diversity of our backgrounds and opinions - while having a lot of fun in the process.
