We are looking for Quality Control Engineer to join our team at ECAPS to ensure the quality of our products. The main tasks will be to perform quality control inspections on our rocket engines and sub-components.
ECAPS AB is a leading manufacturer of rocket engines and the environmentally friendly fuel LMP-103S, which is a greener and safer alternative to conventional toxic rocket fuels. ECAPS currently exports rocket engines worldwide, including government agencies such as NASA and ESA. ECAPS High Performance Green Propulsion (HPGP ®) is a world-class product manufactured entirely in Stockholm.
Your role
As a Quality Control Engineer at ECAPS you will be responsible to ensure that our products meet the required standards by performing inspections. In this role you will work closely with the quality team and perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection of parts, materials and sub-assemblies of our rocket engines. The day-to-day tasks will include examine products and material for defects or deviations from manufacturer or industry specifications. You will also inspect and measure materials, measure products with different types of measuring devices and remove parts that fail to meet the required specification. For example you will use a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to perform dimensional measurement of the rocket engines to check for correct alignment.
The tasks of the Quality Control Engineer require that you have good attention to detail. In this role you will work closely with, but independent from, people involved in production and testing. Within this role there is also the opportunity to grow and learn new tasks within quality team related to quality assurance and product assurance.
Key responsibilities include;
Perform and document visual and dimensional inspections on parts using engineering drawings, inspection procedures or work instructions
Detect non-conformances during production operations
Perform quality control equipment calibrations and record the data as required
Generate nonconformance reports as required
Evaluate data to indicate deviations from existing standards
Inspect or measure materials or products being produced
Your profile
You are a person with technical education or experience who enjoys working in a role where you conduct hands on work. You are able to work independently and within an integrated team. You have a methodical approach to your work, are self-motivated and able to deliver work to deadlines. The work is conducted in English and it is required that you are fluent in both English and Swedish.
We would like you to have the following skills;

Knowledge of visual and mechanical inspection methodologies
Proactive approach to work
Able to learn and acquire new information quickly
It is also meritorious if you have experience working within a clean room environment, or have experience from the space industry, or other similar regulated industry. It is desirable if you have experience from quality control, product inspection or working with quality standards.
