This position is organized in the Product Quality Maintenance team within the group Quality and Product Management, 26361.
The main responsibility of the Product Quality Maintenance team is to improve the product quality on products in production. Find root causes and solutions for corrections on field issues reported by our costumer. Implement the corrections, get them verified and released against both production and aftermarket.
The main responsibility of this role as Technical Leader for Product Quality improvements is to coordinate assigned Quality Correction Projects inside the Electrical and Electronics (EE) department according to the existing process to meet the lead-time targets. Act as an EE coordinator for all technical items during the investigation and implementation phase in order to secure the quality of deliveries from EE.
As Technical Leader for Quality improvements projects you will have a vital role in participating in a global and multi-cultural cross functional environment to improve the product quality on products in production.
Responsibilities
- Represent EE in cross-functional Quality Improvement Projects teams led by the PM.
- Secure resources and set up the project team inside EE
- Secure Cost Estimate (CE) for the EE part (including hours, bought service, supplier cost, material cost, etc) are delivered, followed up and report deviation from the approved CE to the PM.
- Technical Leader for all Engineering tasks inside EE for Quality Improvements Projects and pre-studies.
- Plan, coordinate, lead, drive and follow up activities needed to ensure progress in an assigned project team for EE.
- Make a detailed time plan synchronized with the PM
- Monitor the team's performance
- Delivery of solution, which meets all engineering targets and fulfills all engineering requirements of the project.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is done
- Find a solution for the issue found by RCA and get it implemented, verified and released.
- Manage all risks (both technical and project) inside EE
- Follow the existing processes for Quality Improvement Projects
- Secure Quality Improvement Project lead time Target is reached
- Report deviations against the agreed targets and requirements and ask for support if it's needed through the PQMM (Product Quality Manager Maintenance).
Qualifications
- MSc Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
- Technical background with quality interest
- Experience from electrical and electronics development
- Knowledge about automotive electrical system
- Technical leadership and networking skills
- Product knowledge
- Automotive experience
- Responsible, driving, analytic and organized
- Can withstand stress, target-oriented, not afraid to offer her/his opinion
- Flexible, takes initiatives, not afraid to raise problems
