Quality Engineer
At Research & Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. The section Crash- and Strength Testing is within the department Analyse and Vehicle Environments. Our main purpose is to operate and develop the test rigs within Passive Safety Testing, Active Safety Testing, Durability lab, Strength Testing, Dummy and Ergonomics Lab. Our responsibility is to deliver test results within these areas, maintain and develop our testing capability and secure capacity according to R&Ds demand. Operational efficiency, well defined test environment and measurement accuracy are key focus areas within the section.
As Quality Engineer you responsibility is to support the department, section and group leaders in the section quality operations within the organisation and laboratory. You will be collaborating with the Crash & Strength Testing, Powertrain Testing and Vehide Emission & Climate Testing. You will be part of a team of 5 employees the full scale of crash testing. The work field covers in all rigs within Analyse and Vehicle Environments regardless of section possession.
Main responsibilities
* Responsible for driving the standardisation and quality assurance across the department
* Prepare project queries for quality testing activities cross departments
* Prepare proposals on audit areas along with representative managers
* Lead and organise various customer meetings and participate in Q-forums
* Organise and drive new accredited areas from "wheat to bread"
* Monitoring the quality and performance improvements within the organization and laboratory
* Coordinate annual management review
* Be a part of validation groups within accredited areas
* Support, update and maintain structure in various quality systems
Required qualifications
* University, M.Sc. Engineering
* Good leadership and networking skills, a holistic view and a strong drive for result
* Good analytical skills, measurement analysis / measurement uncertainty
* Self-motivator and flexible, ability to run errands from start to finish
* Strong team player and relationship builder
* Ability to teach and train others
* Driving license B
* Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 17025, ISO 9001 etc is meritorious
* Knowledge from testing and product verification is meritorious

* Structured and meticulous
* Great communication skills and collaboration skills
* Ability to take initiatives
